Experienced quilter Vera Lloyd will showcase more than 60 quilts at Darke Peak this month, in an effort to raise breast cancer awareness.
Vera is the mother of local woman Melanie Hebberman – a breast cancer survivor – who will host the quilt display at ‘Hebberman’s Farm’, Darke Peak, on Sunday, September 12, from 10am to 4pm.
A Devonshire tea will be available, but visitors are invited to bring their own picnic lunch, nibbles and drinks and relax in the garden and surrounds.
A gold coin entry fee will be donated to Breast Cancer Network Australia which supports local women with breast cancer and their families through BCNA liaisons in Cleve, Tumby Bay, Port Lincoln and online at www.bcna.org.au
