The Under 15 North Adelaide Country Squad has been selected following strong performances at the North Adelaide Under 15 Selection Football Carnival.
Northern Areas took the top spot in the carnival.
Players selected on the squad include Northern Areas’ Lachie Robinson, Kane Bowley, Travis McCullam, William Hewett, Jake Foulis, Zach Fielding, Peter Lock, Tom Reid, Nick Lang, Shaun Perkins, Billie Tapscott, Alistair Keller and Andrew Catford, Port Pirie’s Steven Swayne, Jake Bullen, Jordan Fuller, David Pole, Sam Mayes and Port Augusta’s Jonty Bodger-Grantham, Michael Morse, Kieren Miller, Luke Davies, Johnathon Ed, Braden Allen and Kenneth Davey.
The coach of the team is Robert Laube from Port Augusta and the assistant is Andrew Bowley from Northern Areas.
SANFL development coordinator Craig Oliphant said the weather presented a challenge for players on the day.
“It rained on and off on the day, so it was a bit hard...for the kids to shine,” he said.
“But it is good because it could be wet when we go to Adelaide in July.”
On July 9, the side will come up against North Adelaide Metro at Memorial Oval in Port Pirie. starting at 12.40pm; players must report at 11.45am.
Before that, the squad will have a training camp at Wirrabara Oval on Sunday, June 21 from 10am; players must report at 9.30am.
The side will also face Woodville West Torrens Country side on Sunday, June 28, at Bute Oval.
The match will start at 11am but players are asked to report at 10.15am.
