Andamooka welcomes Opal’s new managers

05 Nov, 2009 08:49 AM
New managers for Andamooka Opal Hotel Nicole Williams and Lincon Hunting started in the role on October 11 and said they are: “loving it”.

“The people are brilliant, everybody is so friendly, you can’t walk down the street without someone saying hello,” Nicole said.

The young couple moved to Andamooka from Adelaide, having never seen the town before.

They saw the management position advertised on the internet and applied for it. Lincon is a qualified chef and will run the kitchen while Nicole will manage the bar.

They bring experience from Desert Oaks Resort in Erldunda, NT, where Lincon was head chef and Nicole was sales manager.

The pair are encouraging the community to drop in and say hello.

“We’re looking forward to supporting this great town and hope the community get behind us.”
