Brighten lives by buying a daffodil

Brighten lives by buying a daffodil

26 Aug, 2010 11:36 AM
Roxby Downs will be a colourful place on Friday for Daffodil Day.

The event is an Australia-wide day and the largest national fundraising event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

Daffodil Day raises essential funds for cancer research, education and support programs.

It is a day for everyone to give hope for a brighter, cancer-free future for ourselves, and for those we love.

Daffodil Day merchandise is available in Roxby Downs throughout August.

There are enamel donation pins at $5, $10 and $20, a new keyring at $7, the diamante pin is back, as is the soccer ball this year.

Dougal Bear is back and cuter than ever in his hoodie.

Fresh Daffodils will again be available this year outside the Community Library on Friday from 8.15am to 9am, and again in the mall from 3pm until sold out.

Your support will help maintain the hope the daffodil symbolises to the thousands of cancer patients diagnosed each year.

According to the Cancer Council of SA cancer will claim the lives of 3,400 in the state this year.
