Losing the Australian spirit

Daniel Jackson was keen to talk about leadership on Australia Day.

Mr Jackson’s views were profound, perhaps visionary, and would offer a shining light for those of us who have become cynical over the years.

A Roxby lad preparing for the big move to Adelaide where he will be studying Psychology at Flinders university.

“I like working with people – I like helping people to set targets and achieve them.

“I think people should enjoy themselves, and part of being a leader is to find ways to help people enjoy achieving – to motivate them so that they actually want to achieve.”

Mr Jackson believed that if people don’t achieve in the workplace, it’s likely they don’t have the right leaders to motivate them.

“There’s perhaps a lack of support and creative thinking to work outside of the square.
