“Science, along with literacy and mathematics, is one of our state strategic areas of importance and it’s terrific to see this major injection of funds towards improving laboratories,” she said.

“Schools to benefit are located in all corners of our state – from Ceduna to Balaklava to Craigmore and Mount Gambier.
“Upgraded facilities will allow high schools to increase the profile of science and languages as a subject choice for students.
“This will complete our $105m Primary School skills for the future strategy to increase the focus on science, literacy and mathematics in state’s primary schools.
“This four-year strategy includes new mandated teaching times for these subjects and new specialist training in science and math’s for every year 1 to 7 primary school teacher in the state”.
