Parents and kids share the fun

27 Jan, 2012 10:07 AM
Kids had fun with Arid Recovery in 2011 with the launch of a club especially for them.

Hannah Spronk from the organisation said the club works well.

“A lot of our members and supporters are parents.

“Arid Recovery is a wonderful place for parents to offload their children during school holidays, and many parents get involved in the learning experience as well.

“We had the whole school of St Barbs here last year and it was a real fun experience for them.”

Macca the giant bilby is the mascot for Arid Recovery and he writes a quarterly newsletter.

“We did the first newsletter in December just after the Christmas pageant as Macca was in the pageant, and he has all his friends from St Barbs helping him out.”
