Regular multicultural group meetings "fun"

27 Jan, 2012 09:57 AM
Wednesday morning saw a happy bunch of women attend the regular Multicultural Group meeting at the Dunes Café.

It is a group that is well-loved and has helped many new residents find their way in Roxby Downs.

Sera Amoy said the group was a family-friendly and helpful way to meet new people.

“It’s a fun group,” Ms Amoy said.

“It reflects the nature of the town which feels safe, and the people are lovely.”

Erica Williamson has been in Roxby Downs for two months and said the food is excellent and the people are friendly and helpful.

“The second week here friends told me to come to the group and meet some new friends,” Ms Williamson said.

“The group can act as an intermediate to help with advice and break down the language barriers.

“The group shows so much interest in you.”
