Vandalism increasing

23 Feb, 2012 08:43 AM
Vandalism at the Roxby Downs Lions park was at an all-time high coinciding with school boarders coming home for the holidays.

Although it eased after the holidays, it hasn’t abated, with some problems escalating.

Lions Park gardener David Watkinson said parents should know what their adult children are doing after hours and urge simple discipline upon them against vandalising public property.

Mr Watkinson said Tuesday nights, when shifts changed and after the pubs closed, offenders tended to move on to Lions Park and trash the place that is designed for children’s recreation.
