Baldey and Boulton save the day

Baldey and Boulton save the day

08 Dec, 2011 09:13 AM
Sunday’s game was played out by Andamooka and Roxby Rogues in perfect conditions.

Andamooka won the toss and elected to bowl first and it proved to be a good choice with the first wicket to fall 2 balls into the innings, Ben Hahn removing Brett Baldey caught at slip for a duck.

Paul Polujnikoff (who made 52) watched from the non- strikers end as wickets continued to fall, Andamooka had the Rogues struggling at 7/115 before an innings saving partnership from Tristian Baldey (93) and Adrian Boulton (40no), who put on a club record 117 for the 8th wicket.

Baldey was unfortunately given out trying to reach his century, bowled by James Beenham.

Late hitting from Barry Dadleh (17no) brought the total to 9/259 after 40 overs.

Best bowling for Andamooka was Hahn with 4/42 and Andy Taylor 2/21.
