The top two teams in the Roxby Districts Cricket Association met on Friday night in a 40 over match, but the result hardly reflected the ladder positions of the Roxby Rogues and Olympic Dam, as Roxby Rogues won by a mammoth 166 runs.
The game began with Rogues opener Ross Mill out from a handled ball, a very rare mode of dismissal.
That only brought the Baldey brothers together, and they took the score to 84 at a run a ball, before the older Tristian was out for an even 50.
Younger Brett was joined by Polujnikoff, and the carnage escalated, the pair putting on 143 in only 21 overs.
Brett Baldey made his first hundred for Rogues (113), and Polujnikoff 62.
Final score for Rogues was 7 for 259.
Olympic Dam didn’t help itself with its performance in the field, dropping at least 10 would-be catches.
Joel Nicholson made a welcome return for Devils, taking two wickets.
