 Rogues secure T20 finals spot

Rogues secure T20 finals spot

19 Jan, 2012 11:44 AM
Roxby Rogues travelled to Woomera on Friday, January 13 for a T20 game.

Rogues were aiming to win to secure a place in the T20 final, while Woomera had to win to keep their hopes alive.

Rogues batted first and got off to a steady start but after the loss of Brett Baldey for 20, the rest of the innings was unconvincing.

The Woomera side bowled and fielded well to restrict Rogues to 105.

Ross Mill topped scored with 29 while Luke Budden was the best of the bowlers with 3 for 19 from his 4 overs.

Woomera’s run chase started disasterously with Pillar out first ball to a one handed catch by Mill at slip.

Next over Nicholls was run out before facing a ball.

With the required run rate climbing, Adam Willis began to push the score, but when he was out for 30, the game was effectively over.

Woomera ended 20 runs short after 20 overs.
