The Roxby Downs Junior Basketball Association (RDJBA) grand finals are finally here and it is shaping up to be a must see event.
A great line up of young players will hit the courts on Saturday, February 27 for a huge day of grand final matches.
RDJBA secretary, Bev Zeptner, said the Under 14 boys team had been very successful in basketball carnivals winning in Port Augusta and Port Pirie.
Bailey Evans and Charlee Dalgleish won Most Valuable Player for the entire carnival grade. “All other teams representing Roxby Downs have been competitive in their grade,” she said.
Amelia Rasheed, Ethan Zeptner, Bailey Evans, Toby Smith, and Jack Daly represented South Australia in Port Macquarie and Albury last month.
“We would like to thank all the parent support and help throughout the season and a big thank you to all the coaches and umpires for their time and efforts as well, without these people a basketball game would not happen.
“RBJBA would like to wish all teams in the grand final this weekend all the best.”
The RDJBA annual general meeting will be held on May 17 at 7.30pm at a venue yet to be decided.
“Please keep that date in your diaries and come along and support your child.”
