While we had yet another loss, this would perhaps be the most honourable loss we've had all season.
We started with 19 players and one had to leave at half time, then we lost one at the start of the second half so we played nearly the whole second half with 17 men.
Being only 5 goals down at half time was a good result for our efforts, normally however that is where we'd stop but the boys plugged away and made Hornridge earn their points.
I think our attack on the ball was the best it had been for some time, and even though we may not have been rewarded for our efforts, we did not give in and battled to the end.
Our better players were Austin Monfries, who continues to show he's one of the best footballers in the league.
Travis Pycroft, who done his job all day in defence and Luke Sanders showed how much we've missed his in and under efforts for most of the season.
Dan Reid played in the ruck for the whole game and around the ground and really stood tall.
We have one game left against Coober Pedy this week, if we can show the same spirit we did last week, there's no reason why we can't break through for that elusive first win of the season.
