Softball competition bats on

Despite sinking numbers Roxby Softball Club is now celebrating after enough players turned up on the weekend to keep the sport afloat.

Although competition softball has taken a back seat to fun matches, a mixture of new faces and players left over from folded teams turned up on Sunday to give the sport a second wind.

Until numbers pick up again, the club will host a series of scratch matches and come and try days to boost player numbers.

If you would like to play softball but can’t make it this Sunday, call 0408 890 117 to register your interes
